Shyam Prasad Reddy’s taste towards movies has to be cheered and ARUNDHATHI will prove my statement to be right.
STORY: Arundhathi (Anushka) is the second daughter of Raja of GADWAL Samsthanam. The first daughter Bhargavi is married to Pashupathi (Sonu Sood) with the false astrological proofs supplied by his mother Jalamma (Subhashini, sister of Jayasudha), thus deceiving the Raja with the evil thought of acquiring Gadwal. The mother and son start their evil activities and Sonu Sood is continuously engaged in enjoying all the beautiful girls of Sansthanam forcefully. He even rapes and kills the dance teacher who comes to teach dance to Arundhathi. Disgraced by this activities, Bhargavi kills herself. Arundhathi and his father order the peopel of Samsthanam to kill Pashupathi, but he is saved by Aghora’s and learns all the tantric activities like Chetabadi, Kashmora etc. To take the revenge over Arundhathi, he will be back on the day of marriage of Arundhathi. With all the support from saints and Maharshi’s, Arundhathi becomes Jejemma and makes a Samadhi for Sonu Sood even when he is alive, as Sonu Soods death will give rise to a Pretatma which has all the powers to destroy the Kingdom. But Sonu Sood dies in the Samadhi and his soul causes huge havoc in the Kingdom. Arundhathi decides to kill herself to prepare a weapon that will have the power to destroy the evil. Jejemma takes rebirth as Arundhathi after three generations. But with some unfavorable circumstances, Sonu Sood will come out from the Samadhi in the last minutes of Interval part. How the reborn Arundhathi will acquire the power to destroy this evil with the help of Fakir (Sayaji Shinde) forms the entire second half.

PERFORMANCES: Though the title role is done by Anushka, Sonu Sood as Pashu Pathi will score more marks than her. You can find Anushka’s face not promoting the expressions as much needed to elevate the movie, while Sonu Sood has stolen the show with his impeccable makeup and his dreadfull activities. The voice dubbed for him bby RAVI SHANKAR will scare you. Subhasini looks as horrifying as Sonu Sood’s mother that you can’t imagine and you get frightened some times.
Sayaji shinde has done his role very well, while Satyanarayana, Ahuthi Prasad, Deepak, Chalapathi rao and other cast form the members of Raja’s family and fit well for their roles.
TECHNICAL: Coming to this department, RAHUL NAMBIBAR’s visual effects are a treat to watch. You can’t ask anything more than this from a thriller movie like Arundhathi. KODI RAMAKRISHNA has put forward all his experience to make this movie. He proves himself once again. Music by KOTI is extraordinary and will scare you. Cinematography by SENTHIL is awesome. Art work by ASHOK can’t be expressed in words. Screen play and Story by MALLEMALA Unit is applauding. Dialogues by CHINTAPALLI RAMANA are good. Editing by MARTHAND VENKATESH is wonderful. Choreography by SHIVA SHANKAR MASTER and SUCHITRA CHANDRA BOSE are artistic. Hhh… you can imagine the quality of movie with such type of ratings for technical crew, yess…SHYAM PRASAD REDDY has made grandeur on Telugu Cinema and this film will remain as an epic.
HIGHLIGHTS: Superb VISUAL EFFECTS, Good story line, Excellently done script work, Aesthetic sets, Wonderful camera work, Great background music enhanced with extraordinary portrayal of roles by star cast.
PITFALLS: Nothing serious really. If something is to be told about Pitfalls, it’s the delay that happened in releasing the movie and the few number of theatres in which this movie is released.
ANALYSIS : Although story looks like CHANDAMAMA and BALAMITRA stories, the impeccable script work and extraordinary visual effects has made the movie to reach great heights. KODI RAMAKRISHNA and SHYAM PRASAD REDDY is a wonderful combination and this movie will again prove the fact. If AMMORU and ANJI have made you mesmerized, ARUNDHATHI will make you more than that. Please do watch this movie only in a theatre that has good surround sound system and good projection. This movie will sure be a Sankranthi winner and may create wonders at the BO. Once again HATS OFF SHYAM PRASAD REDDY for making ARUNDHATHI. This movie will for sure teach new lessons to Indian cinema when coming to Visual effects. This movie will also prove a point, how multi media has changed the style of picture making.
SHOW THE MOVIE TO ANY OF YOUR NON TELUGU FRIENDS and THEY WILL FOR SURE AGREE THAT THERE IS NO FILM INDUSTRY IN INDIA OTHER THAN TELUGU WHICH HAS THE CAPABBILITY TO MAKE SUCH TYPE OF MAGNUM OPUS.
RATING:4.25/5
