Ministers pen open letter to Naidu

HYDERABAD: Five State Ministers have written an open letter to Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu asking him to come clear on the corruption charges involving him.
Minister’s – Kanna Lakshminarayana, J. Ratnakar Rao, J.C.Diwakar Reddy, Pilli Subash Chandra Bose and T. Jeevan Reddy – in their letter on Tuesday wanted Mr. Naidu to reply to 25 questions posed by them.
Deriding the recent campaign by the TDP chief on corruption and alleged involvement of the Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, they reminded him off the series of scams during the nine-year TDP rule.

They said the TDP president had scuttled every possible probe that would have proved his involvement in the scandals that broke out during his stint as the Chief Minister. They wanted him to clarify, whether he had benefited by privatising the Kakinada, Gangavaram and Krishnapatnam port besides allotting 5,000 acres of land to the international airport at Shamshabad.

Similarly, they sought a clarification from Mr. Naidu whether allotment of 850 acres of valuable lands on the city outskirts to IMG Bharata was done with a view to make some money during his stint as the caretaker Chief Minister. They pointed out that several land deals during the previous TDP regime had raised a question mark over his credibility.
