The war of words between the two Congress leaders — Mr Gone Prakash Rao and the Nizamabad Lok Sabha MP, Mr Madhu Yashki — has now turned into a legal battle. The first additional chief metropolitan magistrate, based on a petition filed by Mr Prakash Rao, has ordered the Saifabad police to register a criminal case against Mr Madhu Yashki, allegedly for submitting fake educational documents to obtain US visas for his siblings. Mr Hari Kumar, the DCP (Central Zone), said the police was yet to receive the court order.
Mr Prakash Rao, in his petition to the court, stated that Mr Madhu Yashki indulged in human trafficking. Mr Madhu Yashki is allegedly “aware” that the certificates, which his two brothers and one sister possess, are fakes. While his brother, Mr Vivekananda Yashki and sister, Ms Amarajyothy, have engineering degrees from the Gulbarga University, brother, Mr Sudhakar Yashki, is a BSc degree holder.
Mr Prakash Rao said that Mr Vivekananda Yashki obtained had his engineering degree from the Gulbarga University in December 1992 without even graduating from there. He managed this with the help of Mr Madhu Yashki. Similarly, the other siblings too obtained fake degrees from the Gulbarga and Kakatiya Universities.
Mr Prakash Rao alleged that though the DCP (DD) had submitted a report to the police commissioner, which clearly stated that the certificates held by the Yashkis were found to be fake, no action was taken. This, he said, prompted him to take the legal route.
Mr Prakash Rao said Mr Madhu Yashki was aware of the fact that the certificates were fake and still helped his siblings obtain US visas through his agency. He said Mr Yashki has also cheated the US government.
The court ordered the police to file cases against the Congress MP and others under Sections 420, 471 and 120(B) of the IPC.
