The entry of Chiranjeevi into politics has resulted in a much divided film industry, with three apparent groups, one group which supports the Congress, another group which supports the TDP and one other group which supports the PRP. There could also be splinter groups which would be supporting other major political parties also.Unlike popular perception these divisions are not necessarily on caste lines, the divisions are as yet on ideology and many small and little known actors too have increasingly started announcing their allegiances in the recent past.
Many feel that these divisions are temporary and transitory in nature, once the elections would be finished and clear winners announced, all would be united again as one big family, till such time at least, it would be a divided film industry.
