JOSH Mania Starts On The Whole

We are talking about the forthcoming venture ‘Josh’ and now this movie has begun a new mania. Apparently, the audio has already caused quite a stir and with each passing day, the pre release talk and the promos of the movie have been increasing the excitement and enthusiasm among the film lovers.
Given the fact that it has the arrival of Naga Chaitanya, son of Nagarjuna, the film has gained more significance and many are hoping that this would become a good hit true to the image of Nag. For now, the frenzy is said to be high and all this would be converted into the ringing of the cash registers.

Naga Chaitanya is pairing up with Karthika, daughter of the yesteryears beauty Radha and this in itself is yet another historic moment for the Telugu cine folk. Youngsters in college say that this has already struck a chord with them with the title and the visuals they have seen so far. There is also news from film nagar which says that the film has got strong traces of movies like ‘Shiva’ and performance from Chaitanya and Karthika have been quite matured. Get ready for this interesting treat folks!!!

JOSH STARTSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

The time has come for yet another expected super hit to take the litmus test. This has got significance since it will see the arrival of another star kid. He is none other than Naga Chaitanya, son of yuva samrat Akkineni Nagarjuna.

The film ‘Josh’ is all set to hit the screens this Thursday but before that, a huge and grand gala premiere has been planned for it. There is news that producer Dil Raju has booked all the five screens of Prasads Multiplex for the premiere.

The show begins at 9.30 pm and it is being said that there is huge lobbying still on for the tickets and the passes. Despite the fact that the Ganesh Nimmajan ceremonies are on, the demand is said to be going strong for the tickets.

Poll wars hit the big screen

As if the election campaign does not have enough spice yet, a flurry of political movies are all set to hit the big screen in the coming weeks. Suddenly political movies seem to be in vogue.
About four movies will hit the screens in the first week of April and all of them have a hidden political agenda. While some openly ridicule certain parties, others have chosen to taunt indirectly. Some other films are ironically asking people not to be carried away by cine glamour.
Mestri, starring the Congress MP, Dasari Narayan Rao, started the trend with several dialogues and songs ridiculing road shows. Most of the dialogues also had indirect barbs against Chiranjeevi. Naturally, the movie has irked the Praja Rajyam.
“We don’t care about movies that hardly run for a week,” said Mr Allu Aravind, producer and Praja Rajyam leader. “They will repent they made such a movie.”
Though the Praja Rajyam expresses moral outrage at Mestri its leader, Posani Krishna Murali, is directing a movie titled Raja Vaari Chepala Cheruvu, which is reported to be a satire on the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy.
An incensed Congress has complained to the Election Commission to direct the Censor Board to stop the movie screening. “This film is like an advertisement for a political party,” said the Congress MP, Mr Mohammed Ali Khan. “So the Election Commission should watch it before releasing it.”
Yet another movie Nene Mukhya Mantrini Ayithe had Censor Board troubles allegedly because it also lampoons Dr Reddy. The producer, Mr Narendra Naidu, has alleged that the Censor Board was deliberately harassing him.
Though nobody can miss the political undertones of these movies, the directors vociferously argue that they are fictitious.
In Prajanayakudu, there are even look-alikes of the Telugu Desam chief, N. Chandrababu Naidu, Dr Reddy and Chiranjeevi. But the director, P.C. Adithya, says that his intentions are good. “My film lists the positive points of YSR, Naidu and Chiranjeevi. It is a triangle political story. It will help the audience decide whom to vote for,” he says.
However, Posani argues that as a tax payer, he has complete freedom to criticise the government. “My movie is not against the Chief Minister,” he adds. “It only talks about corruption. If the Congress feels that the movie is against them, probably they feel they are corrupt.”
If one goes by the lukewarm reception which Mestri got, it seems the audience have already had their fill of politics from the small screen.

Priyamani As Surpanakha

What might have gone into Maniratnam’s head when he decided to cast Priyamani in Surpanaka’s role in his forthcoming film Ravan, does Priyamani look so ugly that she had to be cast in a Rakshi role? And then what made Priyamani accept this role?

Indeed many question that the director-actress duo will answer at some later stage, but for now let us be content with the news that she will be the seductress who will crave for Ram (to be played by Vikram in Tamil and Telugu).

But indeed one could say a thing for sure, Priyamani will do justice to her role and she will surely show why she is the best Surpanakha the Indian screen has ever seen!!

Tamil Arundhati Declared Super Hit!!!

Finally, the much awaited and expected thing has happened again. The highly talked and hype created film ‘Arundhati’ that became a major blockbuster in Telugu has now got released into Tamil with the same title and reports have been flowing at the overwhelming response the movie has been receiving from all corners of Tamilnadu.
Many say that the charming presence of Anushka in a gracious role as ‘Jekkamma’ and the scary and spine chilling role of Sonu Sood as the cursed evil spirit has done the magic.

Apart from that, the highly sophisticated and visually marvelous graphics have created a revolution. Right now, the dialogue that has been reverberating throughout the Tamil folk is ‘Vidamaatta Bommayi Vidamaattaa’.

Even the Tamil critics have come up with a super shot rating for the film and the makers are happy that the film has been breaking few box offices though it is in a dubbed version.

Puli-Bebbuli : once more...once more.

Rebel star and Mega star join together. News is that Real Star Sreehari will soon join.
The expected has happened...Rebel Star KRISHNAM RAJU has proved all the news right by shaking hands with Mega Star Chiranjeevi. Both of them will now be KRISHNA - ARJUNA, as they performed in MANA VOORI PANDAVULU. They also acted together in PULI-BEBBULI, both of them were huge hits those days.
Chiru expressed joy and said that, Krishnam Raju's entry into his party will prove the critics wrong for their statements that cine industry is moving away from Chiru's political party and the star attraction in PRP has got enhanced.
Krishnam Raju has shared his words by saying that, he will always render his hand for Chiranjeevi in fullfilling the goals of PRP. Both of them shaked their hands and looked like real heroes before the media. What will BJP do now in these GODAVARI districts without Krishnam raju is to be seen. Now the news that is making waves is Real Star SREEHARI will soon meet Chiru to express his solidaritty to join PRP. SITRAALU SUDARO...SIVUDO...SIVUDA...

Bisha,Deshadrohi in Congress?

Don't worry about the names of the above two. They are well known actors who have joined the Congress party. Veteran actor BHANUCHANDER who is known to be a versatile personality in Tollywood who has directed and Produced DESHADROHULU, "Bisha...Bisha" Sudhakar the comedy actor of yester generation, Rajendra babu who has done few films like HUNGAMA, DONGODI PELLI etc have joined the Congress party today.
It is very much known to many that SUDHAKAR is a good friend and childhood buddy of Chiranjeevi and he must know what made him to join Congress?

Sonia on the way to hat-trick

The curly haired dusky lass Sonia shot to fame as Shrav’s in ‘Happy Days’. After the debut film, ‘Vinayakudu’, the runaway hit that featured her in the lead cast moved her to near stardom.

With two consecutives in her bag, it’s no wonder when offers queued up for the actress. With a distinct approach to script selection, Sonia didn’t sign up every other one but only selected the best.

She has checked in for a new film set to begin under the direction of Jonnalagadda Srinivasa Rao.

If she succeeds again, it will be a hat-trick for the newcomer who’s making it big already in tinsel town. We can rub off any more doubts and be sure she will be the future star in Tollywood.

Will ‘Mitrudu’ be box office friendly?

That seems to be the talk making rounds in the tinsel town. We are talking about the film ‘Mitrudu’ starring Yuvaratna Nandamuri Balakrishna and the buxom beauty Priyamani.

The film marks the debut of Mahadev as the director and the producer of the movie is Sivalenka Krishna Prasad. Given the fact that the title means a friend, fans of Balayya are hoping that it gets to have a shine at the box office.

Apparently, his last release ‘Pandurangadu’ was Above Avereage and his ‘Okka Magadu’ was a disaster.

With the election season running high, the impact of Balayya is being seen at the road shows so they are hoping that the same is felt at the collection centers too.

Tribute to ‘Soggadu’.

Dasari unveiled the statue of SHOBAN BABU in RAJAHMUNDRY on his first death anniversary and also targetted PRP indirectly..

It has been one year since Andhra ‘Soggadu’ Shoban Babu has left all of us. Born as Uppu Sobhana Chalapathi Rao to a middle-class family in a small village China Nandigama near Mylavaram Krishna District, Sobhan babu went on to become a romantic icon and was the top Tollywood hero for two decades. He made his film debut with ‘Daivabalam’. Even at a middle age, as the actor found that he couldn’t get any lead roles and quietly quit from the acting career. Though many co-actors requested him to get back to acting, he rejected their offer softly and spent the rest of his life happily with his family.
On his 1st death ceremony, there was a tribute paid for the actor at Rajamundry by setting up his Statue on this Friday. ‘Darsaka Ratna’ Dasari has unveiled the statue which costs nearly Rs. 5 Lakhs. Large crowd has gathered to witness the incident. Dasari spoke that Shoban was only person in the film industry who doesn’t have any bad remark.
He stated Shoban babu as ’Macha Leni Manishi’. He also said that " my latest movie ‘Mestry’ is not related to any one and no body need to feel that the movie is based on them. I don't know why particularly one Political party is feeling the heat with this movie". He added that like politics, film industry also became rotten.

Silk Smitha Reinvented

Looking at the promos of Punammi Nagu one felt like Silk Smitha has been reinvented, Mumaith Khan in her two piece Bikini out fits looked every bit a Silk Smitha, the same dark skin, the same buxom personality and the same dancing and acting skills, indeed Mumaith Khan is the new age Silk Smitha.

Mumaith Khan’s story in many ways is not very different from Silk Smitha’s story; a meteoric rise from middle class existence to sudden stardom by doing erotic numbers seems to be a common thread in their personal lives, the film careers too progressed similarly with full length roles following item numbers in film, both the ladies have justified their talents and have been big draws at theaters sometimes even beating big stars at the box office.

Indeed Mumaith looks like Silk reinvented.

Prabhas was looks great

Prabhas was recently seen at the music launch of his latest film Billa and the young actor looked great every bit stunning in his latest avatar, the girls present went gaga over the young actor who arrived with verve and style at the venue.

His all black attire was the cynosure of all eyes and he impressed everyone with his smiling attitude and welcome nature, indeed many say that he is carrying the style of the film into his real life also as the film Billa has been made with a lot of focus on style.

Prabhas is indeed making a great style statement through this film and one expects that he would end his dry run by giving a hit here!!

Father sells Thumbs Up, Son Pepsi

It is ironic that the entire Allu/Chiru clan actively sells some soft drink or the other in other words they are brand ambassadors for some brand or the other, the last to join the bandwagon is Ramcharan Teja who is involved in promoting Pepsi, he would be appearing along with Deepika Padukoune in one of the promos soon.

Incidentally dad Chiru used to promote Thums-up till Mahesh babu replaced him, interesting to note that the father and son duo promote different brands of soft drinks. Each one unto himself seems to be the motto of this family!!

Pepsi:Ramcharan&Youth to change politics

RAM CHARAN TEJ is a lucky guy who proved his strength with the first film CHIRUTHA. Being the son of Numero Uno Mega Star CHIRANJEEVI is an unique asset, but his hard work has started to reap the fruits as offers poured for him. Even he was asked for many Promotional advertisements of FMCG.
But atlast he ha ssigned for PEPSI soft drink and has acted in commercial with DEEPIKA PADUKONE, the new heart throb of Young India. The advertisement has started to telecast in few channels and it has mainly projected RAM CHARAN and DEEPIKA as icons for the youth and YOUTH CAN CHANGE THE POLITICS. Pepsi's YOUNGISTAAN CAN CHANGE THE POLITICS...if not atleast the Politics, Pepsi can for sure serve your thirst...

Gopichand's mouth waters for NAMITHA's assets.

Gopichand is a young action hero. He began his career as a villain and later made a mark as hero. His films like Lakshyam and Shouryam have established him as a mass hero with a huge fan following. Gopichand is a big hit with the heroines and he had a much publicized ‘romance’ with Anushka, his heroine in a couple of films.

Gopichand was one of the guests at the audio launch of Billa. Namitha was the star attraction and she appeared in a tight outfit that barely managed to hide her ample assets. Gopichand was gossiped to be eyeing her all the time. He could barely take his eyes off her. He was in particular gaping at her ‘big back’ and 'wonderful front'. Namitha noticed this and tried to cover up with her hands. A blushing Gopichand is known to be turned his head away, but only temporarily. He was back to gaping at her assets with his mouth wide open.Thats Namitha's glamour for GOPI CHAND.

Star studded PRABHAS ‘Billa’ audio launch

Music of the stylish flick ‘Billa’ starring Prabhas and Anushka was launched on 18th March at Silpa Kala Vedika, Hyderabad. Directed by Meher Ramesh, Narendra and Prabhod have produced the film on Gopi Krishna Movies.

The event was star studded with a big list of celebrity attendees including Dasari Narayana Rao, Krishnam Raju, Rajamouli, VV Vinayak, Allu Arjun, Gopichand and others.

First copy of the audio was released by Dasari Narayana Rao and Krishnam Raju became the recipient.

Acknowledging the praises showered upon him, Prabhas said, “I am feeling very proud to have shared screen with my uncle. It was a challenging task while working with him. I thank the technical team, who worked with utmost dedication. Hope, the viewers will appreciate our work and make it a hit.”

Swetha Basu Prasad is thrice happy

The sweet and sexy damsel of ‘Kotha Bangaru Lokam’, Swetha Basu Prasad is a constant chatter box and debates with ease. In a sheer miss, it seems she became an actress instead of an advocate.

She is so jubilant and lit up all the time as her hands are full with three films in production this season.

She stars one of the heroines in the multi-star ‘Raid’, churned by Ramesh Varma and produced by Bellamkonda Suresh. She shares screen space with Nani, Tanish and Aksha in the lead cast.

Director G. Nageswara Reddy has roped in Swetha to play the lead opposite Vaibhav in his film produced by popular director A. Kodandarami Reddy on K Films banner. Another new film by Ratna Celluloids banner went to the floors under the direction of Balaji N Sai has her as the female lead.

Posani, Sathyakrishna poles apart

The writer, director and actor Posani Krishna Murali is well known for his impulsive and straight on face remarks. His latest release is ‘Mental Krishna’ that has celebrated 50 days of screening recently. Sathya Krishna the lead lady in the movie is now avoiding any chance meeting with Posani deliberately.

According to sources, Krishna Murali was all praise for her performance in ‘Mental Krishna’ and promised to cast her as heroine in his next film too. However, it is known now that she is not chosen for his ongoing project ‘Rajavari Chepala Cheruvu’.

The latest gossip making rounds in the film circle is that Sathya Krishna is avoiding Posani on the pretext that ‘Mental Krishna’ has brought down her image, and she has been strictly advised not to work in Posani’s films by her peer group.

Ravi Teja’s ‘Kick’ barges on May 7th
