With her present Bapatla Lok Sabha seat reserved for SC's, Purandareshwari is now a threat to nearly 4 sitting MP's.
Junior HRD minister in the Union cabinet Daggubati Purandareswari with her present Bapatla Lok Sabha seat being reserved for SCs, has now set her eyes on the neighbouring constituencies making the MPs feel restless. At least four sitting MPs from the Congress are feeling the heat from Purandareswari.
First of them is Ongole's sitting MP Srinivasula Reddy who has the support of local legislators including a close relative of the CM Balineni Srinivasa Reddy seemed to have lost some ground to his opponent when all of the legislators started supporting Purandhareshwari.
Now this MP is even threatening high command to become a jump jilani. In that case, Purandareswari might contest from Narasaraopet in Guntur. The sitting MP from this constituency, Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy is willing to vacate the seat, provided he is given the Nellore general seat. Curiously, CM’s close follower and Tenali MP V Balasoury is moving heaven and earth to get the party nod to contest from Narasaraopet. In this background, Balasoury’s group is proposing Purandareswari’s name from Guntur LS seat. On the other hand, the sitting MP from Guntur, Rayapati Sambasiva Rao is equally powerful and claims the support of none other than Sonia Gandhi. The Rayapati group believes that Balasoury’s entry into Narasaraopet politics has disturbed equations in all the constituencies. The Congress leaders, including local minister Kasu Krishna Reddy, share the same opinion.Confused...Purandareshwari's candidature leading to all these confusions...
