PRP first list on Saturday with 100 names
Candidates for at least 100 Assembly seats will be announced by the Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) in its first list on Saturday, March 21.
The PRP president, Mr K Chiranjeevi, told media persons here on Thursday before setting off on his third day of Praja Ankitha Yatra in Krishna district that the names of 100 candidates will be announced on Saturday after the Praja Vijayabheri Sabha (a massive public meeting calling for victory) in Secunderabad.
“The exercise for the selection of candidates is being done scientifically and the first list will be announced on Saturday after the public meeting. We are planning to announce the candidates of 100 contestants. However, the figure may slightly vary,” he explained. Mr Chiranjeevi admitted that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) senior leader, Mr Kothapalli Subbarayudu, has been invited into the PRP fold. “Now it is for him to decide whether to join us or not.
Since he has evinced keen interest in joining hands with us we have extended the invitation,” he said but evaded reply whether similar invitation was sent to Bharateeya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Union minister, Mr Krishnam Raju.
