The Telangana Rashtra Samiti has followed the Telugu Desam’s example and approved 10 party leaders, including five sitting MLAs for various Assembly constituencies where there are no claims on seats from allies.
Sources on Wednesday that E. Rajender, TRS floor leader from Huzurabad, the TRS chief’s nephew, Mr T. Harish Rao (Siddipet), Mr K. Pratap Reddy (Jangaon), Mr K Eshwar (Dharmapuri), Mr S. Ramalinga Reddy (Dommat), Mr Nayani Narasimha Reddy (Musheerabad), Mr Balraj (Atchampet), Mr Sridhar Goud (Makthal), Mr Shanker Goud (Serilingampally), Mr T. Padma Rao (Sanathnagar) have been asked to start campaigning.
Though the TD, which leads the Mahakutami, is yet to announce the names of nominees of the alliance, an understanding has been reached where in “single” nominees for constituencies have been cleared to campaign.
Captain Laxmikantha Rao, a sitting member, could not get clearance for the Husnabad seat as the CPI leader, Mr Chada Venkat Reddy has laid claim to it.
