Looking at the promos of Punammi Nagu one felt like Silk Smitha has been reinvented, Mumaith Khan in her two piece Bikini out fits looked every bit a Silk Smitha, the same dark skin, the same buxom personality and the same dancing and acting skills, indeed Mumaith Khan is the new age Silk Smitha.
Mumaith Khan’s story in many ways is not very different from Silk Smitha’s story; a meteoric rise from middle class existence to sudden stardom by doing erotic numbers seems to be a common thread in their personal lives, the film careers too progressed similarly with full length roles following item numbers in film, both the ladies have justified their talents and have been big draws at theaters sometimes even beating big stars at the box office.
Indeed Mumaith looks like Silk reinvented.
