Fuel pump for honda accord s84/cf9

This is year 2000 Honda Accord cf9 / s84 with 2.0 SOHC engine, Few days ago while driving and trying to make a U turn and suddenly after hard pressing on throttle the car suddenly stall and not making any response, rpm remain idle and and gear also not changing.

After discussing with my mechanic and he told me that this might be the fuel pump problem. since the throttle dont response and rpm remain at 1000.This is second time happend to me and luckily the coming car have enough time to avoid from colliding.

The fuel pump located in the rear trunk under the mat.

 Open the cover then you can see the fuel pump  inside, very-very conveniant and easy to install compare to SV4 and SM4 where you need to remove the whole gas tank.

The S84 fuel pump with bracket, this small fuel pump which cost me around RM160 + installation RM20. I replaced the new fuel pump from bosh. But I wonder why this fuel pump is the same used by proton wira? Is it enough to supply gas for this 2.0 litre.

Another problem. When starting up the engine the starter will keep on for about 4 second before the engine start (prolonged cranking). Suppose after installing the new fuel pump the starter will start the engine immediately. Dont know why, maybe this few days I am trying to use Denso iridium IK20 spark plug, been told this spark plug good for vtec engine.

I have been conned by car dealer or previous owner, they replace the fuel pump with wira fuel pump which is cheaper. 





Reason for prolonged cranking-the fuel pump housing is leaking, so the fuel flowing back to the tank therefor the fuel lost pressure. The harder I press the throttle the more fuel running back to fuel tank. That why sometimes I feel like the engine is going to stall.
