Noted film maker and director Dasari Narayana Rao has been chosen for the most prestigious NTR National Film Award for the year 2007.Dasari Narayana Rao, popularly knows as Dasari in film circles, has been chosen for the award which carries a memento and Rs 5 lakh in cash, for his meritorious contribution to the Telugu Film industry, a note from the State Government said here on Wednesday.
Similarly, popular film maker Tammareddi Krishna Murthy has been selected for the Raghupathi Venkaiah Naidu Award for the year 2007.
These awards will be presented to both the personalities at a colourful function to be organised on February 14, the note added.
For the year 2006, Hyderabad-born evergreen actress Waheeda Rehman has been selected for the NTR National Award while producer-actor Daggubati Rama Naidu for its prestigious Raghupathi Venkaiah Award.
